Cameroon… round 2!
Ok… I am not one to give up so easily. And because of the dissappointment of the Fish Stew from Cameroon I decided to try something else… A Pineapple and Banana salad. If you’ve ever seen the Friends episode where Rachel makes a trifle for Thanksgiving dinner you will understand why I decided to make this… Pineapple? Good!, Tomato? Good!, Banana? Good!, Avocado? Good!, Coconut Milk? GOOD!…

The recipe was too easy! Cut up the fruits, layer them (like a trifle) in a bowl and then cover with coconut milk. Chill and serve…

Verdict:
Ok… I officially give up on Cameroon. I found the salad a little bland. It looked pretty but it wasn’t really tasty. I actually couldn’t get anyone to finish it after the first taste. It was just like the Friends episode, except for here my friends told it straight to my face right away… and I agreed.
Maybe it’s because I wasn’t used to the taste or the texture, I was wondering if maybe adding honey to the salad would make it better. But I was so disheartened that I didn’t even try. If anyone has tried this recipe and it turned out well please let me know if you’ve done something different. I would really like to try this again.
